Time for a change

"To everything (turn, turn, turn). There is a season (turn, turn, turn)..."

sang The Byrds in the 60s and I'm not sure they were talking about October but I think it seems as good as time as ever to reference change. Coincidentally, this morning I learned that the origins of Halloween were all about the seasonal change between autumn and winter (seems appropriate I waited until today to send out this very newsletter theme, huh?).

Change is SUCH a big theme I talk about when it comes to branding and especially REbranding with my clients and potential clients. It brings worry and so many other emotions with it (and I totally get it, my husband will be the first person to tell you that I'm not that adept at change!). I think in general, humans (and all animals really!) find comfort in patterns and regularity. So who am I to come in and tell you, business owner, that you should change things up visually? Well, I am someone who has looked at your current brand, heard what you have to say about where you want to go with your business and have now decided you need to make a visual change!

Need a Change

Most of the time, you have come to me because you want to change something about your brand but when it comes down to it, a lot of you take some coaxing. And that is totally fine! But remember, change is so necessary for your brand to evolve into the next season of your business. I'm not talking about literal seasons here, but the next iteration of what you're selling be it a service or product. Maybe your audience has changed, your mission has changed or even what or where you are selling as changed. If so, then I'm going to tell you that you are most likely going to have to change up your branding, too!

So, as we head into the season of change from gorgeous leaves that have turned from green to reds and oranges and soon will fall off as we head into winter, think about what you might want to change, too. If the leaves can do it, you can do it too!
