Design is always moving. And so are brands.

At March and Bloom, it’s my aim to create brands that feel modern, clean and professional, while remaining timeless. And that’s where the name comes from. To me, ‘march’ is all about getting things in order, singing the same tune, and ‘bloom’ is about the growth that happens after that.

March and Bloom was officially launched in 2018 but I’ve been designing since 2003. With a bachelor’s degree in Communications Design from the Visual & Performing Arts College at Syracuse University, my logical first step in my career was to head to New York City (because, let’s face it, who goes to art school and doesn’t end up in NYC?).

For the next 11 years I designed for brands big and small, including L’Oreal, Kimberly-Clarke, Moet Hennessy, Eleni’s Cookies (yes, I got to eat the cookies, too) and the Affinia Hotel Collection. Simultaneously, I was freelancing in the evening for some small businesses.

When life took my husband and I across the pond to London at the end of 2014, I decided that working with small businesses was how I wanted to continue my career over here. I realised my experience in the branding agency world, where I worked with strategists, writers, marketers, and entrepreneurs, left me in a perfect position to support smaller brands. And so March and Bloom – where my goal is to create smart, holistic branding for mission-driven brands – was born.

Working directly with business owners is something I absolutely thrive on – getting to be the creative partner for a brand and helping them make the best decisions for their brand while cheering them on is the best. And I believe I am working alongside the best – my clients are highly intelligent, driven, focused and seriously wonderful human beings.

About
Jennifer

I’m a New England girl at heart who now lives in jolly olde England. I like to ask questions. I take copious notes in my dot-grid sketchbook with only a black pen (never blue). I drink one coffee a day (and maybe a tea in the afternoon). I find design inspiration everywhere but especially in architecture and beautifully packaged cosmetics and food.

I love to travel to new places in Europe (now that we live here) as well as all of the amazing London neighbourhoods. But, equally I enjoy life in my home of SW12 where I spend time with my two little boys and one big guy (two sons and a husband) drinking a coffee at some of our local cafes and walking around our nearby commons.

I have zero sense of direction but love to draw maps. Ask me about Barcelona and I’ll wax poetic about one of my favourite cities for hours. Playing soccer (aka English football) makes me truly happy and has done since I was five. I have an affinity for eating and baking birthday cakes, going ten-pin bowling, reading memoirs, taking hot showers, eating Spanish tapas and ogling Portuguese tiles.
